UEF is participating in a joint initiative established by Finnish universities to help people fleeing the war in Ukraine. We offer different kinds of study opportunities for people fleeing from Ukraine and who have been granted temporary protection by the Finnish Immigration Service. At UEF, the following opportunities are available to people fleeing the war in Ukraine: (1) Non-degree studies under a non-degree right to study (UEF offers admissions for non-degree studies to students who have arrived in Finland from Ukraine. This opportunity is available to those who have applied for or received temporary protection from the Finnish Immigration Service and have a right to pursue a degree at a Ukrainian university. Studies completed under non-degree right to study are free of charge. In Finland, the autumn semester starts in the beginning of September and the spring semester finishes at the end of May.); (2)Open University courses; (3) Degree programmes (Master's degree programmes/Bachelor's degree programmes. The application period for Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes beginning in September is open yearly in January. Ukrainian students may apply for a tuition fee waiver on humanitarian grounds.)
