The Coordination of the Graduate Program in Veterinary Hygiene and Technological Processing of Animal Products, at the Fluminense Federal University (UFF), announces that registrations will be open for the selection exam for the Master's and Doctoral courses in Veterinary Medicine – concentration area: Veterinary Hygiene and Technological Processing of Animal Products, on a continuous flow basis. For the second semester of 2024, registration for the Course may be requested from the date of publication of this Notice in the Service Bulletin. Registration requests must be submitted to the Program's office according to the information contained in this notice (page 24); Similarly, the vacancies allocated to refugee candidates, asylum seekers, stateless persons, political asylum seekers, holders of temporary humanitarian visa, holders of residence permits for humanitarian reception or other humanitarian policies in Brazil follow CEPEx/UFF Resolution No. 3,580, dated June 12, 2024, which will guide the allocation of the vacancies (page 27). Article 1 - CLIENTELE Single Paragraph: Veterinarians, Animal Scientists, Agronomists, Food Technologists, Food Engineers, Chemical Engineers, Pharmacists, Biologists, Chemists, Nutritionists, and related fields.

Admission
Art. 4º - SELECTION Single Paragraph: The Selection Committee for Admission to the Program will evaluate the applications using the selection system presented in item 5 of this Notice. After submitting the documentation for registration, candidates will be summoned by email by the Program Secretariat to schedule the selection process, according to the schedule available in Annex II. Art. 5º - SELECTION SYSTEM § 1º: Master's Course: a. Knowledge Test - Theoretical – Weight 3 - Essay test of specific knowledge of the Graduate Program area, according to the bibliography indicated in Annex 3, with a maximum duration of 2 hours. b. English Proficiency Test - This test will be scored as qualified or not qualified. If the candidate is not qualified, they must do so during the course. c. Analysis of the Lattes Curriculum - Weight 4 d. Oral Examination - Weight 3 - It will be conducted by a committee of 3 (three) faculty members of the Graduate Program, involving an oral examination on three articles (available on the program's website) within the program's concentration areas, with the bibliographical references (complementary bibliography) indicated in Annex III, with a duration of up to 20 minutes.During the oral examination phase of the selection process for the Master's course, candidates will be evaluated based on (1) Mastery of the subject and theoretical concepts; (2) Critical Analysis Ability; and (3) Clarity and Objectivity in Communication. ATTENTION: The candidate will be considered qualified if they achieve a weighted arithmetic average of items (a), (c), and (d), with a score equal to or greater than 6.0 (six). § 2º: Doctoral Course: a. Spanish Language Proficiency Test - This test will be scored as qualified or not qualified. If the candidate is not qualified, they must do so during the course. b. Analysis of the Lattes Curriculum; c. Defense, Analysis of the project, and Oral Examination, with the candidate's presentation lasting up to 30 minutes; During the oral examination phase of the selection process for the Doctoral course, candidates will be evaluated based on (1) Mastery of the subject and theoretical concepts; (2) Clarity and coherence in the presentation; (3) Originality and relevance of the project; (4) Feasibility of the project and scientific rigor; and (5) Alignment with the program's objectives. - ATTENTION: The candidate will be considered approved if they achieve an arithmetic average score of more than 6.0 (six) across the above stages. For mother candidates, a correction factor of 1.05 to 1.2 will be applied to the final curriculum score, if the maximum value has not been reached. The final result will be announced at the Graduate Program Secretariat within seven working days after the selection exam. The decision of the Selection Committee for Admission to the Program is final, except for non-compliance with the General Regulations for Stricto Sensu Graduate Programs of UFF and the Specific Regulations of the Graduate Program, in which case an appeal may be made to the Program's Council within 48 (forty-eight) hours from the announcement of the final result.The information about accredited supervisors and the research lines of the Program can be found on our website https://higieneveterinaria.uff.br/ and also on our social media https://www.instagram.com/pghigvetuff/ Art. 6º - SCHOLARSHIPS Single Paragraph: CAPES and CNPq scholarships may be offered to students, according to criteria established by the Funding Agencies and the Program Coordination, considering the number of scholarships made available by these funding agencies each year. However, the Program does not guarantee the awarding of scholarships to approved candidates. Art. 7º - FINAL PROVISIONS § 1º: The candidate who has participated in the selection process using false documents or information or resorting to illicit means will be disqualified at any time (even after enrollment). § 2º: Cases not covered in this Notice will be resolved by the Examining Committee and the Program Coordination and submitted to the Program Council.

§ 1º: Documents for Master's Courses: Registration form (Annex I); Academic transcript and Bachelor's Degree Diploma in the field of Veterinary Medicine or a related area; Verified Lattes Curriculum of the candidate (Note: verification of the curriculum refers to certificates and other documents related to the information mentioned in the said curriculum); 2 (two) letters of recommendation from university professors or researchers from official research institutions (template: webpage); Letter of intent (free model and in PDF format) stating the objectives to be achieved with the course, the concentration area/research lines of interest, and the indication of 02 potential supervisors from the permanent teaching staff of PPGHIGVET; Scanned photo; Legible copy of the identity card (RG) and CPF; Legible copy of the RG and/or Passport (for foreign candidates).Note: Titles obtained at foreign universities will be subject to Resolution 188/2012 of the Council for Teaching, Research and Extension of UFF (Art. 3, items I to XI and paragraphs 1 to 3), which provides for their acceptance for the purpose of continuing studies at UFF; § 2º: Documents for the Doctoral Course: Registration form (Annex I); Verified Lattes Curriculum of the candidate (Note: verification of the curriculum refers to certificates and other documents related to the information mentioned in the said curriculum); 2 (two) letters of recommendation from university professors or researchers from official research institutions (template: webpage); Scanned photo; Legible copy of the identity card (RG) and CPF; Legible copy of the RG and/or Passport (for foreign candidates); Academic transcript and Master's Degree Diploma in Veterinary Medicine or a related area; Thesis project; Acceptance letter from a supervisor accredited by the Graduate Program (template: webpage).
