NRWege scholarship

"NRWege ins Studium" program is for students with a refugee status. Around 30 universities in Germany participate in the NRWege program. This program aims to support refugees in their pursuit of higher education. NRWege provides funding for attendance at preparatory German language courses offered by universities. Additionally, it establishes a sustainable advisory structure for refugees and coordinates refugee-related matters within the universities. The program also offers degree scholarships. NRWege is financed by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (MKW).

Квалификация

Persons with refugee experience who are willing and able to study and whose entry to Germany was not more than five years ago. This includes: Persons entitled to asylum, persons recognised as refugees or persons entitled to subsidiary protection as well as persons for whom a national ban on deportation has been established as well as comparable persons who have a residence permit (§§ 25 par. 1-5, 23 par. 1 and 2, 23 par. 4, 23a (Residence Act - Aufenthaltsgesetz). Persons who have been admitted on the basis of the Mass Influx Directive and have a right of residence pursuant to section § 24 Residence Act - Aufenthaltsgesetz. Persons who have received a rejection in the asylum procedure conducted by the BAMF, but whose deportation has been temporarily suspended = "Duldung" (toleration pursuant to § 60 a para. 2 Residence Act - Aufenthaltsgesetz).

Application for course fundig (starting with level B1 GER) according to the programme "NRWege ins Studium" must contain the following attachment: - Letter of motivation for the respective quarter - copy of you residence document* - Willingness to provide the necessary own data to the university in the context of the scholarship and willingness to participate in surveys/studies
