Launched by the European Commission, the Science4Refugees initiative aims to facilitate the connection between refugees with high-level scientific training and research institutions. The initiative is based on the EURAXESS network, which promotes the mobility of researchers in 37 European countries. It uses in particular the EURAXESS Jobs job offer dissemination platform, powered by universities and research institutions. By joining the Science4Refugees initiative, UCLouvain is also committed to publishing job offers to which refugees and asylum seekers can apply. These offers will be identified by the Science4Refugees logo.

In order to centralize requests from associations and proposals made by the university community, a single entry point to the university has been created refugees@uclouvain.be . Any association or person with a request or proposal is invited to send an email.
