RUBiss: Scholarship for international students

Supports students at risk

International students can apply for a scholarship from the third semester onwards. The award is made by a selection committee consisting of members of different faculties. All information about the scholarships on the pages of the Ruhr-Universität Bochum are always subject to the provision of funds, i.e. the scholarships can only be awarded if the funding is provided by the MKW or DAAD. You will need a German or European bank account (with IBAN and BIC) for the payment of the scholarships.

Qualifications

Eligible are students: who are enrolled in a regular course of study at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum; who have a foreign nationality; who have not obtained their university entrance qualification (e.g. the Abitur) in Germany; who are at least in third semester at RUB during the funding period; whose monthly income is up to 972 Euros; If you are naturalised (eingebürgert), you are no longer entitled to the scholarship.
