UCLouvain refugee support

Supports students at risk

UCLouvain participates in Higher Education in Emergencies, a global movement that aims to promote refugee’s access to higher education. Access to higher education for refugees is essential. In the short term, the movement promotes host country social integration in line with refugees’ talents and skills; in the long term, it trains future leaders, entrepreneurs and other talented individuals who are needed to (re)build the home country. UCLouvain refugee support projects are led by the Pro-Rector for International Affairs Professor Dana Samson, who is responsible for human rights issues.
