Qualifications
We particularly encourage applicants who have demonstrated engagement in social activities, such as working with non-governmental organizations or participating in civic initiatives, as well as those with exceptional academic accomplishments, such as participating in conferences or contributing to scientific working groups. To be eligible you must: - Hold Ukrainian citizenship. - Be enrolled as a full-time student at a university during the time of application and throughout the scholarship stay, and be under the age of 26. - Be able to complete a full-time/regular course of study at a university. - Have not participated in a scholarship program in the Federal Republic of Germany for more than one semester. - Meet the requirements of the German Embassy in Kyiv or have a residence permit in Germany. - Be able to demonstrate knowledge of the German language in accordance with the European Framework of Reference B2. - Show an interest in the European idea and be committed to civil society.
Procedure
Applications for the scholarship are accepted twice a year - in the spring (for accommodation in the winter semester) and in the fall (for the summer semester). The deadlines for submitting the application are as follows (the time for sending the application in electronic form is counted): - For the winter semester - until April 30 of the corresponding calendar year of stay. - For the summer semester - until October 31 of the calendar year preceding the stay. The application process is divided into two sections: 1) Formal and substantive evaluation of written statements. 2) Interview (in German) conducted online with applicants whose scholarship applications received the highest score in the first stage of the process.
Academic Transfer
Accepts transfer credit.
Scholarships
You can receive a monthly stipend of €934 for one semester, along with the opportunity to spend a semester studying at any public university of your choice in the Federal Republic of Germany. We will provide assistance with the admission process, and you'll receive supervision and support from the city's GFPS eV teams who operate at the study site. Additionally, you can participate in two scientific and cultural seminars for free - one at the beginning and one at the end. We require our participants to work on a project while they are studying at a university in Germany. Your project should be related to your field of study or career and can be presented in the form of a German language term paper or a practical project, such as an exhibition or workshops.
