NRWege ins Studium Scholarship

The candidates are evaluated by a selection committee on the basis of their performance, the level of German language skills, the quality of the letter of motivation (in the case of study and graduation scholarships, the report) and financial need, selected and then notified in writing. There is no entitlement to funding. Other scholarships will be credited towards the scholarship. The total amount may not exceed 861 €, i.e. the scholarship rate is reduced as a result. BAföG recipients can receive 300 € if selected. Applicants without financial support will be given preference if they are equally qualified. Only complete documents submitted by the deadline will be considered.

Full/partial scholarships: 1) Enrolment in a regular course of study at the HSNR. 2) Proof of a refugee background (e.g. copy of ID/passport, residence permit, see leaflet "approved residence permits"). 3) Proof of acquisition of the university entrance qualification abroad. 4) Proof of German language skills (copy of the certificate). 5) Written confirmation from the applicant that the studies cannot be financed in any other way as well as a declaration that possible benefits (BAföG) have been applied for and the results of the application will be communicated immediately. 6) Letter of motivation in which the interest in studying is set out in connection with the previous educational path and the need for support (at least one DIN A4 page, see leaflet "Information on the letter of motivation"). 7) Willingness to provide the university with the necessary own data as part of the funding and willingness to participate in surveys/studies. 8) Due to the previous educational path, a successful course of study must be expected. 9) For a follow-up scholarship or for an initial application from the 4th semester onwards, a positive report from a university lecturer confirming the applicant's personal and professional suitability must be submitted. 10) In the case of follow-up scholarships or for an initial application from the 4th semester onwards, proof of the study results of the previous period must be submitted. 11) Written declaration of willingness to make regular use of consulting services. 12) The award of a follow-up scholarship also requires that counselling services have been used and that there is also a willingness to continue to make use of the counselling services as well as the willingness to contribute to the programme(s) on a voluntary basis. 13) Optional: Proof of social commitment.
