Qualifications
A confirmation of a place or certificate of enrolment from a state or state-recognised German (technical) university, and be able to provide proof of German language skills that correspond to at least level B2. Above-average performance at school and university. A personality who is characterized by political thinking, thirst for knowledge, tolerance and openness, team orientation, critical skills and self-reflection Social and socio-political commitment.
Procedure
In principle, refugees can take up a course of study regardless of the status of their asylum procedure if they meet the relevant requirements under higher education law. If you decide to apply to us, you can find all further information about the application process here (https://www.fes.de/studienfoerderung/bewerbung/). Due to the high number of applications, we unfortunately have to reject many qualified Bewerber_innen. However, a new application is possible in principle. You should then take the opportunity to show a profile that increases your chances of being accepted into the Foundation's scholarship program by acquiring certificates of achievement during your studies as well as through socio-political activities in accordance with our guidelines.
