Supports students at risk

Students seeking asylum in the UK are not able to apply for funding from the Student Loans Company and are charged international student fees. DMU offers eight Article 26 Scholarships for undergraduate students unable to access student funding. Please note - the Article 26 Scholarship is only available to students looking to start an undergraduate level programme.

Qualifications

The Article 26 Scholarship is open to those who do not have access to student finance and are: seeking asylum in the UK, or a dependent or partner of someone seeking asylum or who has been granted Discretionary / Limited Leave to Remain as a result of an asylum application; and have applied to start a full-time undergraduate degree course at DMU starting in September 2024.

Please note that even if you are still waiting for an offer from DMU, you may submit an application. Applications for this scholarship are currently closed and will reopen in January 2025.

Academic Transfer
