Qualifications
To be considered for this additional support, you must: Be assessed by the University’s Enquiries and Admissions department as a refugee, having been granted leave under the Ukraine Schemes (the Ukraine Family Scheme, the Homes for Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme and the Ukraine Extension Scheme), having been granted leave outside the Immigration Rules for a reason connected to the conflict in Ukraine or a persons granted leave under the Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP) or the Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme (ARCS) or granted Humanitarian Protection as the result of an Asylum Claim and therefore eligible to pay the UK home rate of fees. Be assessed by the University’s Immigration & International Student Advice Team as a refugee, having been granted leave under the Ukraine Schemes (the Ukraine Family Scheme, the Homes for Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme and the Ukraine Extension Scheme), having been granted leave outside the Immigration Rules for a reason connected to the conflict in Ukraine or a persons granted leave under the Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP) or the Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme (ARCS) or granted Humanitarian Protection as the result of an Asylum Claim with the right to study in the UK Be eligible for UK student support from the Student Loans Company for the duration of the Masters course (if you already hold a Masters level qualification, this might prevent you from receiving full support. Please contact us for advice if this is the case. See below for contact details) Have applied to study a taught Masters degree at the University of South Wales Be accepted on a Pre-sessional English Language Programme or the International Foundation Programme at the University of South Wales prior to commencing your Masters course. Accept the University’s offer of the place on your chosen course and the Pre-Sessional English course on a firm basis.
Procedure
You will be sent an email containing a link to an online application form once you have been offered a place on a course. The email will be sent to the email address listed on your course application to the University. The University also reserves the right to limit the number of scholarships and bursaries available.
