Durham University is pleased to announce the introduction of the Khodorkovsky Scholarships which are specifically designed to support Russian students wishing to undertake a second degree at Durham University. It is the intention of the scholarship programme that Scholars make a meaningful contribution to the development of Russia and promote east/west understanding.

Qualifications
You must be a national of or ordinarily resident in the Russian Federation You must also have a first degree from a Russian University and not subsequently have been enrolled in any other degree programme outside of Russia. Recipients should intend to return to Russia on completion of their studies, when circumstances arise making it appropriate for such return, to make a meaningful contribution to the development of Russia and to promote east/west understanding. Applicants undertaking online programmes are not eligible. If you are deferring your academic application to 2026 entry you would be considered along side eligible 2026 entry applications.
Procedure
Submit an academic application to Durham University via the relevant link: Undergraduate programmes (https://www.durham.ac.uk/study/scholarships/undergraduate/khodorkovsky-scholarship/) There is no separate scholarship application process however you must ensure that you submit an academic application to Durham University by the deadline. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit as demonstrated in your academic application to Durham University. Durham University makes every effort to ensure that the information published or contained on its website is accurate. However, the University cannot guarantee the information may not subsequently be altered owing to circumstances beyond the University's reasonable control. Such circumstances include (but are not limited to) changes in Government policy or change of law. Whilst any changes will be incorporated into the University's website any person wishing to clarify the details of a particular scholarship/s should contact the University at scholarships.advice@durham.ac.uk.
